2018 NBDCC ~ OOAK Live Auction Donation

Convention is over and I’m starting to catch up on rest so posting my final contribution … after going to Venice in May, I was inspired by Atelier Antonia Sautter, an Italian designer of period costumes.  Window shopping all the wonderful designers from Chanel to Prada in Venice, we came across a fabulous display of her work which changed my thought process for my live auction doll.  Here are a few photos of the final result, with proceeds going to UMOM of Phoenix, AZ.

Outlander fans … I finally completed Claire’s Red Dress in 1:6 scale!

No, I’ve not watched Outlander, however, at the request of a friend, I agreed to create “the dress” in 1:6 scale.  What was I thinking?  Thankfully, there are many lovely photos online of all sides of the dress so I ordered silk fabric … it arrived and I didn’t like the shade, so I ordered a different silk … it arrived, and I didn’t think it was “right” either but finally, (3rd time’s the charm) I received a very vivid red.   Making the pattern and testing only took seven versions of the bodice … LOL!   So, after ten days … here’s my version of Claire’s red dress in 1:6 scale.
