If you are attending the 2014 National Barbie convention in Nashville, TN, please plan to stop by my room on Wednesday afternoon. We’ll be open from 2:00pm – 5:00pm and I’ll be featuring custom fashions in 1:6 scale for all occasions! We’ll have treats and door prizes PLUS it’s always nice to see you!
Guess I missed January with home improvements … loving my new doll room and dining room flooring! But as typical with me … lots to do before Grant A Wish Convention!
I am so blessed with wonderful friends … while attending Fashion Royalty / Integrity Toys convention last fall in LA, I was invited to go shopping at MOOD DesignerFabrics! I was in heaven … Thank you, Lisa and Matt!!! So, in the company of fellow fabricholics (is that a word?) I found some lovely imported silk lace that I knew I wanted for my GAW auction doll …
“Clair de Lune”, a OOAK silkstone Barbie® doll, formerly “Continental Holiday Barbie”, has had a complete makeover. This includes full facial repaint, mani/pedicure, and restyled hair. Her one of a kind gown is cut from silk jacquard in smoky silver commemorating the 25th anniversary of this convention. Her bodice and train are from imported silk lace and hand beaded with hundreds of delica beads and micro sequins. Auction doll includes rose pink gloves, an evening bag in rose pink with a beaded lace overlay and crystal/silver-tone hair accents. She will also have a COA and include the mirror base, “MAD” stand and “moon over ocean” backdrop.
I’ve wanted to do this for a long time but just haven’t taken the time. Life does seem to be spinning by faster and faster! I’m noticing the older I get and the more loved ones I lose … the more content I am in my life. I’m blessed beyond anything I ever daydreamed when I was young! And I was a daydreamer …
I plan to end my current website in 2014 but share some of my past creations and hopefully have some seasonal collections for sale here fitting 1:6 scale dolls. I’m enjoying a wider variety of dolls these days but looking forward to creating new fashions and accessories! Please feel free to browse my gallery of past fashions and if there is anything you’d like to see me do, I love suggestions.
2013 holiday season is close and I’m in the MOOD because I’ve been to MOOD! 😉
